Weekend Playdates

I just love this one of Carson with his play goggles on!

Izzy and Carson were fighting over who gets the balloon.
Some outdoor play time at the Sanders. Notice Izzy thinks
she is queen!

Poor Emma was so hot!

Landon and Brinley playing with Izzy

Landon was all about sliding with Izzy (helping her)
but she wanted to do it herself- imagine that!!!

The kids enjoying the new play toy at Firemans

Our weekend started with going to the Sanders house Friday night to let Izzy and Carson play. Poor Carson always gets bullied, but they have fun together! Saturday morning some friends and I took our kids to Firemans park so they could run around and get some energy out before it got overly hot. By the time we left the kids were all wore out and sweaty.

"Daddy please don't look so sad, momma please don't cry.
Cause I'm in the arms of Jesus, and he sings me lullabies.
Please try not to question God, don't think he is unkind.
Don't think he sent me to you and then changed his mind.
You see I'm a special child, I am needed up above.
I'm the special gift you gave Him, a product of your love.
I'll always be there with you, so watch the sky at night.
Look for the brightest star and know that's my halo's brilliant light.
You'll see me in the morning frost that mists your window pane.
That's me in the summer showers, I'll be dancing in the rain.
When you feel a gentle breeze from a gentle wind that blows.
Know that it's me planting a kiss upon your nose.
When you see a child playing and your heart feels a tug,
Don't be sad mommy, that's just me giving your heart a hug.
So daddy don't looks so sad and momma please don't cry.
I'm in the arms of Jesus and he sings me lullabies!

The Worst Day of My Life

This is so hard to write after such a happy post about Izzy becoming a big sister. We found out Wednesday that we lost our baby. We went in for a routine check up and were told we were going to have an ultrasound. I was so happy we were going to get to see the little one because normally after you have the first ultrasound they dont do another one until its time to find out the baby's sex. What was supposed to be a happy time for us turned out to be a nightmare. We were told that the baby no longer had a heartbeat. Brad and I were in such shock and we both just broke down. Its the worst thing I have ever had anybody tell me. Just when I thought I was in "the clear" everything changed. The doctor said that it is very rare for this to happen after you have already seen a heartbeat, so this is the last thing we were expecting Wednesday. Please pray for us as it has been the hardest thing we have ever gone through. Losing a baby is the worst feeling in the world. I thank God we have Izzy, and she has been the one to keep my spirits up. When I start feeling sad, I just look at her and she makes me smile.

Exciting News!! Izzy's Going to Be a Big Sister!!

Some of you already know, but for those of you who don't- we are very excited to announce that we are expecting our second child! I am due in January so the kiddos will be a little over 2 years apart. Of course Izzy doesnt quite understand but I have been telling her there is a baby in my tummy. She's so cute because she looks at my tummy and pats it and says baby. It's hilarious! I'm sure its confusing to her because she knows what a baby is but cant actually see the baby! I know she will love having a sibling to play with and boss around too. I bet you can't guess which shirt mommy made and which one daddy made- YEAH RIGHT! It's pretty obvious. The lady who made these thought Brad's design was hilarious. We call her devil women when shes acting bad.

Feeding the Ducks With Daddy

Izzy and Daddy love to feed the ducks at Hohlt Park on the weekends. At first she wasn't to sure about them coming at her for the bread but now she's a pro! Some of them will even eat out of her hand.

Summer Fun!

Well the time is here for swimming and playing at the park! Izzy loooooooves water (like her mama). We bought a fairly large blow up pool for all of us to cool off in and a small plastic pool for her to slide into. We have been spending a lot of time taking her to the different parks in Brenham so she can run free. She thinks she is such a big girl that nothing scares her! That scares me! She likes to slide, swing and climb steps. At Firemans park they have a huge playscape for older kids with really tall slides and guess what- Izzy went down that huge slide by herself LAUGHING the whole time! NO FEAR! There are kids a lot older than her that are too scared to climb up there. Daddy was so good helping her.
