32 Weeks!

I have reached the 32 week mark in my pregnancy and with a scheduled c section for August 11th, I only have 6 weeks left! We are so excited to meet Gabby! Dr. Bonds took me off work for the rest of the pregnancy so right now I am catching up on things at the house (nothing to strenuous) and trying to take it easy! She has me coming in for appointments every week now to monitor Gabby. We are so proud of miss Izzy as she is fully potty trained now!!!! My wish was to have her potty trained by the time Gabby arrived so I wouldnt have 2 in diapers and my wish came true. Nana decided to put her in big girl panties one weekend just to see what she would do. After several accidents she obviously didnt like that feeling so she started going on the potty like a big girl. Now she will tell us when she has to go and doesnt have any accidents. She's growing up and keeping us busy. Her favorite thing to do is play make up. She is a huge girly- girl! Anything involving make up, dress up and hair -she likes. She talks about Gabby and is ready for her to arrive so she can show her how to play with toys!

Houston Zoo

Checking out the seals with daddy

She thought the flamingos were funny looking

Her poor cheeks were red from running in the heat

We finally convinced her to take a break and ride in her wagon.

She wanted to walk most of the time, but it was just too hot.

Taking a juice break on the bench with mommy

Looking for the bears!

The Downtown Aquarium

Sitting on a chest of gold

Petting the sting rays! She wanted to pet the shark also

but she couldnt reach her arm to the bottom!

Chilling on the couch in the hotel room

We were able to take Izzy to the Houston Zoo for a little mini trip before baby Gabby arrives. It was very hot and I was miserable but I thought it was important for us to do something fun with Izzy. After the zoo we checked into our hotel - Embassy Suites downtown for some rest and then we headed to the Downtown Aquarium for supper. Izzy liked the aquarium more than the zoo. She really didnt care about the animals at the zoo like I thought she would, but she LOVED looking at the sea creatures at the aquarium and her favorite thing was petting the sting rays! She is definetely a dare devil and she would have played with them all night if we let her. After the aquarium we headed back to the hotel for some swimming. We got lucky and we were the only ones in the pool! Izzy is a total water bug just like me. She also takes after me in that she loves hotel rooms. This is the second time she has stayed in a hotel and she loved every minute of it. In fact I think she would have been just as happy staying in the hotel room playing the whole time.

Well I had every intention of getting Easter pics on here last week, but my computer decided it did not want to read my memory card. Thanks to Jolie I was able to borrow her cable to get them off my camera! We had a great Easter and Izzy really enjoyed the egg hunts and blowing bubbles at both grandparents houses.

22 Weeks!

Ive been really bad about blogging lately so here is an update on the pregnancy and Izzy. Im almost at the 22 week mark which puts me in the sixth month of pregnancy! I am feeling baby Gabby move all the time now and her kicks are getting stronger by the day. She loves to kick my bladder so I am using the restroom very frequently now. I am struggling with high blood pressure in this pregnancy just like I was with Izzy. For now im on meds and later im sure will come bedrest. I have a low lying placenta which the Dr is hoping will "move up" on its own in the next few weeks. Our next Dr appt will be May 10th and it will be an all day affair. We have 3 different appts for just that day - one at the lab to do my glucose test, the second with the sonographer to do another ultrasound, and the third a check up with Dr Bonds. Izzy is getting big and potty training! It has taken her awhile to get interested in it, but she is getting better at it and hopefully she will be fully potty trained by the time miss Gabby makes her appearance! She loves to play outside, bake cookies with Nana, run in the house with Daddy chasing her and watching Dora on her mini TV! She is doing great at Christ Lutheran and we are very pleased with her teachers. They have been teaching her spanish and she can count to ten in spanish. Its so funny to hear her because she will start counting out of the blue. We were finally able to get her hair cut because it was sooooo long and getting too hot for her. Needless to say she keeps us busy and entertained with her funny personality. We never know what will come out of her mouth next! I will post pictures of her in her favorite dress up clothes soon!

We Are Having.....

Today I am 18 Weeks pregnant and yesterday we went for our main ultrasound in college station. I am not one for patience so of course we wanted to find out what we are having. Well luckily the baby decided to cooperate and we found out we are having..... A GIRL! I had a feeling it was going to be another girl, but Brad on the other hand was sure it was going to be a boy. He didnt care either way and was suprised when she said its a girl! Izzy is a daddy's little girl so of course he was happy that he will have another daughter and we are excited that Izzy will have a sister to play with. We are half way there with a c section to be scheduled the beginning of August. Now the fun begins with shopping and decorating the nursery for miss Gabrielle!

Snow Day!

Making snowballs

She loved sliding on the snow

Her sandbox was full of snow!

The stairs were so slippery that daddy had to help her climb up

This is the third year in a row that Izzy has been able to enjoy snow! We were so excited when we woke up this morning to see that there was white covering everything. Izzy couldnt wait to get outside and play but we only let her stay out for 10 minutes because she already has a cold and we didnt want it getting worse. Besides the fact that it was just too cold that early to stay out any longer! The rest of the day we just lounged around the fireplace all cozy and warm. Izzy played hard and took a long nap since she was awake at 6 am. We love these lazy days we get to stay inside with the whole family.
